Organizations today are trying to manage multiple virtual machines — anywhere from 50 to 10,000 — and are looking to expand virtualization and cloud adoption to make management easier. The Management Solution Competency for VMware Partners helps you take advantage of this to drive new management license and services revenue in your existing vSphere install base.
To help your team gain this valuable competency, VMware Education Services is offering partners 35% off the following courses from February 28 through June 20:
VMware vCenter Operations Manager: Analyze and Predict [V5.x]
VMware vCenter Configuration Manager for Virtual Infrastructure Management [V5.x]
VMware vCenter Configuration Manager for Virtual Infrastructure and OS Management [V5.x]
VMware vCenter Operations Manager: Advanced Usage and Dashboard Design

to December 2013. Over the past quarter Bruce’s evaluation scores are consistently excellent, with more than half scoring the maximum five out of five. Bruce is always ready to deliver the latest training courses. His focus enables him to successfully present the first public courses for VMware Horizon View 5.2, VMware vCloud Automation Center 5.2 and VMware vSphere Install, Configure, and Manage v5.5 for the EMEA region. In addition, his abilities to take on board new technologies led to him to reviewseveral new courses and deliver train-the-trainer sessions assisting other instructors.
Also, a big congratulations to Roy Freeman and Andy Fox who both made outstanding contributions throughout the quarter. Thank you also to the other candidates who were nominated, the decision by Undeleeb Din and Andy Cary this quarter always very difficult.
There is a new exam available to qualify candidates for the VCP-Cloud Certification.
This new exam (exam code VCPC550) is based on vCloud Automation Center 5.2 and vCloud Director 5.5, where the existing exam (exam code VCPC510) is based on vCloud Director 5.1. Passing either of these exams will earn VCP-Cloud certification if you have also taken an approved required course.
Note: There is still a third method to earn VCP-Cloud certification; if you already have your VCP5-DCV or VCP5-DT certification you can take the VMware Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) exam (exam code VCPVCD510). You are not required to take a course if you follow this path.

VCDX is the highest level of certification offered by VMware. The VCDX Program allows candidates to validate enterprise-class skills in VMware Solution design and implementation. Certification is achieved through the Design Defense where all candidates must submit and successfully defend a production-ready VMware Solution before a panel of veteran VCDX-holders. This unique testing process ensures that those who achieve VCDX are peer-vetted and ready to join an elite group of world-class consulting architects.
Last week’s VCDX and vExpert party at VMware Partner Exchange 2014 included a special surprise for VMware CEO Pat Gelsinger. Amid drinks and hors d’oeuvres, John Arrasjid (VCDX #1) presented him with a custom briefcase to commemorate his newly appointed status as “VCDX Alpha.”
