VMware vCloud® Air™ continues to flourish, and is now available to customers delivered as a managed service through VMware vCloud Air Network service providers.  As we announced at Partner Exchange 2015, VMware service provider partners now can deliver managed services to their customers around the globe leveraging VMware vCloud Air as their core infrastructure.

Managed Services Providers (MSPs) have the unique expertise and ability to deliver complex IT systems management and support – allowing organizations to focus on their business rather than managing their IT infrastructure.

When a customer engages with a VMware vCloud Air Network Managed Services Provider, they have the benefit of working with a provider who offers the compatibility and agility delivered by the vCloud Air platform.  vCloud Air is 100 percent compatible with VMware vSphere® environments, which means customers can leverage existing IT investments, processes, and expertise, helping them to reduce costs and risks.  That inherent agility and expertise will assist customers in the expedited set up, testing, deployment and management of applications and workloads.

Service providers that are part of the vCloud Air Network offer global and specialized services to fulfill the IT needs and requirements of all types of customers.  Organizations looking for managed services such as support, monitoring, migration, testing, security, application management and a broad range of hosted services can now leverage Managed Services Provider partners to contract services that are based on the trusted infrastructure platform of vCloud Air.

The vCloud Air Network provides unprecedented customer value through a vast offering of service capabilities and management expertise.  The option to leverage vCloud Air provides our service provider partners with additional opportunities for geographic, vertical and portfolio expansion, based on industry leading VMware technology.

Our vCloud Air Network Managed Services providers will also be able to leverage vCloud Air Advanced Network Services and vCloud Air Hybrid Network Services, as well as the currently available vCloud Air Direct Connect to provide a rich set of high-speed networking services to their customers and enable customers to seamlessly and more securely extend their infrastructure to vCloud Air.  By leveraging VMware NSX™ as its underlying networking platform, vCloud Air enables enhanced security controls, routing, and network scaling capabilities in the cloud.  These capabilities further enable our Managed Services Providers to provide differentiated services to their customers.

We look forward to continuing to work closely with our service provider partners to offer customers ultimate choice and flexibility in selecting expert, local partners to meet their specific managed services needs.
