vRealize Automation Cloud; 06.20 Launch Update

Exciting news for fans of the dynamic duo, vRealize Automation and vRealize Operations. Both are now available as a service, bringing their combined power to cloud. Get the scoop on this and other announcements (including two new hosting regions) below.

The dynamic duo is back together for new cloud adventures!

Now that vRealize Operations Cloud is available, bringing it together with its partner in consistent operations, vRealize Automation Cloud, was just a matter of time. Together with a major expansion in two new regions (Frankfurt and Singapore), June has been a very fruitful month for our SaaS automation solution.

Consistent operations in the cloud

vRealize Automation and vRealize Operations are the leading management stack for consistent cloud operations in VMware environments and beyond. Now, with both solutions available as a service, we are bringing their combined power to the cloud as well. Some of the most important capabilities that are enabled with this integration include smart workload optimization based on vRealize Operations Cloud recommendations, deployment pricing and health monitoring from vRealize Automation Cloud.

SaaS hosted in a region near you

With SaaS becoming the preferred delivery model for more and more organizations, VMware is expanding its hosting regions for vRealize Automation Cloud in two major business hubs in Europe and Asia. As of June, vRealize Automation Cloud is available in the Frankfurt and Singapore regions, so we can cater for tight organizational and regulatory requirements for data sovereignty in these regions.

Other additions

As well as adding major features, we are improving our platform in less visible but equally important ways. In June, we further expanded our approval policy engine to Day 2 actions for imported deployments and enhanced our RESTful APIs. Also, keep an eye on the Terraform Provider for vRA Cloud – it is updated and enhanced every month.

Getting started with DevOps for Infrastructure

DevOps has transformed the way software development and delivery happens in modern organizations, and we’re seeing more customers adopt DevOps principles to maximize speed and reliability at scale. To support them (and you), we have developed a webinar series on DevOps for the infrastructure administrator, coming from an IT point of view.

To see what all the fuss is about, you can now watch all four webinar:
