Recently, Felicia Jadczak and Alicia Schetter spent time in beautiful Portland, Oregon at the Grace Hopper Celebration of Women in Computing (sponsored by the Anita Borg Institute for Women and Technology). The purpose of this conference (“GHC”) is to highlight the research and career interests of women in computing. The theme of this year’s conference was “What If…?” This year’s GHC conference had 2,908 attendees, representing a 35% increase in attendance from last year. 1,136 attendees were students, with 201 scholarship students.
