The past few months have left me grateful and in awe of how people are coming together in big and small ways to support each other, businesses, and the broader community. From members of VMware’s IT and cross-functional Crisis Management teams working day and night to help improve the safety, security, and comfort of our employees as they work virtually around the world, the individual actions that people are taking to give back and serve those in need, to the real-time stories of our customers using VMware products and solutions to enable uninterrupted delivery of critical services. The COVID-19 pandemic has and continues to affect us, but I’m constantly inspired by what is possible despite it.
While ‘business as usual’ is not an option and life as we know it is being altered by this experience, I’m humbled to say that VMware is still hiring. This moment in time is giving us an opportunity to learn, grow, and lend a figurative hand to others. VMware is all in to do its part to provide job opportunities for people.
We have open roles for interns, new graduates, and seasoned professionals who may be at a number of places in their career journey. Our hiring efforts are focused on supporting VMware’s five strategic priorities: App Modernization, Multi-Cloud, Virtual Cloud Network, Digital Workspace and Intrinsic Security. If you visit the VMware Careers Site today, you’ll see that we have hundreds of open roles across R&D, IT, Sales, Customer Services & Support, Marketing, Finance, HR, Legal, and Business Administration.
For the foreseeable future all candidates, current employees, and people newly joining VMware, will meet and work virtually. We’ve been proactively working with prospective and current employees to make sure that they’re set up to have enjoyable experiences when they connect with one another wherever they may physically be.
Overall, this experience has been an opportunity for us to put renewed focus on conversations that we’ve always been having about how we can better meet our people where they are. We know that the time will come when our employees can safely choose to return to VMware offices, but we’re taking the learnings from our current environment to shape a new future. A future where VMware employees can work in a more distributed manner around the world.
If you want to work alongside us and see how you can have a positive impact for organizations and communities around the world today, I welcome you to join us.
Be well and stay safe.
