At VMware Canada, we work and live with a shared set of core values. These values of execution, passion, integrity, customers and community (known as EPIC2) were on full display earlier this week as VMware Canada volunteers shared in an inspiring day of service at the Shadow Lake Centre in Stouffville, Ontario.
To help prepare the Centre for the arrival of summer campers, the VMware field team in Toronto volunteered its time and expertise to help with refurbishment and construction at the camp. Activities undertaken by the team included re-painting one of the camp houses and a cabin, performing carpentry upgrades on two cabins, rebuilding a retaining wall and assisting in the construction of a canoe dock at the beach.
We’re extremely proud of the team, and camp staff as well as the CEO of Community Living Toronto mentioned a few times that VMware Canada was one of the best volunteer groups they’ve had at the camp.
I want to extend congratulations to everyone who participated and thank them for not only a job well done, but for also demonstrating such a strong sense of passion and community in their work. These are just some of the values that make VMware such a wonderful place to work.
