vCloud Director iPad App Update!

by Tom Stephens

An update to the vCloud Director iPad App is now available from the iTunes store.  This update is a maintenance update to fix some known bugs.  The short list of fixes includes:

  • A crash when viewing a catalog that had 0 items.
  • A bug that caused some catalogs to not appear.
  • Keyboard presentation in catalog.
  • Prevent entering non-organization vCloud URLs.

The app does not currently support the use of vCloud Director 5.1, however.  So if you happen to use it to connect to a vCloud Director 5.1 instance, you will receive a error.

Go ahead and give it a try, if you haven’t already… It’s handy to interact with your environment at times.

  1. I would like to enquire as to when the iPad app will support vCloud 5.1?

I am in the process of rolling out a new service from a vCloud partner and using 5.1 – I cannot currently configure or check anything when mobile :(

    Thank you.

    Roy.
