HP ProLiant is Highest Performing Server in Latest VMmark Comparison
HP ProLiant servers earned best overall virtual performance on 2P VMmark benchmark. The HP ProLiant DL385 G5p delivered the best 2P performance overall for virtualization with its latest record of 11.28 @ 8 tiles, while the HP ProLiant BL495c G5 was the best 2P blade with a result of 11.23 @ 8 tiles.
The VMware VMmark benchmark is intended to measure the performance of virtualized servers on a system under test (SUT) so customers can compare the capabilities of different platforms for virtualization. VMmark represents the performance of virtual machines within a server running VMware ESX and a set combination of operating systems and specially tuned applications reflecting a typical datacenter environment.
