UPDATE: Knowledge Base outage
We've already mentioned there will be maintenance activities occurring Friday evening:
VMware will be performing a system upgrade to several VMware web applications on Friday, August 17th, 2012 from 7:00PM until 11:30PM Pacific Time. During this time, we request that you file your Support Requests via phone.

We wanted to add that the Knowledge Base will also be undergoing some changes. In order to minimize the impact to you, we are performing these earlier, between 5:00PM and 6:00PM Pacific Time. The Knowledge Base will be back online in time to provide coverage during the updates to her sister sites.
These system upgrades are part of our commitment to continued service improvements and will help VMware better serve your needs. We appreciate your patience during this maintenance period.
