How to edit the configuration (.vmx) file for your VMware Fusion virtual machine

This video details editing the configuration file for your VMware Fusion virtual machine. The configuration file is commonly referred to as the .vmx file. You might need to edit the .vmx file to complete the steps in some of the more advanced VMware Knowledge Base articles.

Caution: Changing configuration files improperly may prevent the virtual machine from booting. To create a backup of the .vmx file before proceeding, hold down Option on your keyboard and drag (copy) the file to your desktop.
