Guest OS Install Guide

These are the changes or updates made to the Guest Operating System Installation Guide since it was last published:

• Added general information about VMware Tools. See “VMware Tools Support” on page 34.

• Added support for Ubuntu 8.04.2 on ESX 3.0.3 and 3.5 Update 3. See “Ubuntu 8.04 LTS” on page 256.

• Added instructions unique to installing VMware Tools on Ubuntu. See “VMware Tools” for all supported Ubuntu guests.

• Added instructions about disabling IPv6 for Ubuntu 8.04 LTS and Ubuntu Linux 7.10. See “VMware Tools” on page 258 for Ubuntu 8.04 LTS and “VMware Tools” on page 261 for Ubuntu Linux 7.10.
