Second Harvest Food Bank, San Jose, CA

DorisAndTheFruitGuys

On Friday, May 21, the VMware Express made a stop at the Second Harvest Food Bank in San Jose, CA.  VMware employees and The Fruit Guys teamed up to donate fresh fruit and shopping bags to the Second Harvest Food Bank.  The shopping bags are made from recycled materials and will be given to clients of the Second Harvest Food Bank to carry their groceries home.

In the fiscal year 08-09, Second Harvest Food Bank provided 39.1 million pounds of nutritious food to low-income people.  They served an average of 207,566 people per month, in every zip code from Daly City to Gilroy and from the ocean to the bay.  They provide food through their own direct programs and through partner agencies. Welcome to the VMware Express Blog

Hi, and welcome to the new blog. As the VMware Express truck wends its way across North America, giving hands-on demonstrations of what virtualization solutions like VMware View can do for your business, we'll be chronicling the journey here on the blog.

Various members of the team will be writing updates as we travel, but today we'd like to introduce you to the two people who will be along for the whole ride.

John Sullivan 1

John Sullivan is the technical specialist who will be taking care of the truck, the data center, all the clients and demo stations, and making sure the demos are booted up and ready to go. John is normally based out of Tampa, but will be seeing the inside of a lot of hotels this year.

Tommy 1

Tommy Lusenskas is based out of Hollister, CA and drives the truck. Say hi when you come visit!

Check out the Express when it comes near you. The public VMware Express schedule is listed on this site, but contact your local VMware partner to see if there is a private event near you soon.
