Management of VMware ESXi on HP ProLiant Servers

A joint paper between VMware and HP was published recently that goes over another option for hardware monitoring on ESXi systems.  This paper describes the integration of VMware ESXi with HP System Insight Manager to provide full hardware management capabilities on HP ProLiant Servers. It also describes the hardware information and monitoring features available with VMware vCenter.

You can download the paper here.

Charu,

According to this blog -- http://vinternals.com/2009/08/no-more-hp-esxi-embedded/ --

HP is no longer providing ESXi embedded with their servers. In my environment we are an HP shop but want to go diskless ESXi on our HP platform. I read somewhere else (can't find the link) that VMware only supports ESXi embedded if installed by an OEM.

Is there an option whereby I can install ESXi onto internal SD card and have my setup be supported by VMware? If so, is there a definitive statement somewhere on the VMware site to support this?
