Inside Sales Representative, Federal Sales – Army – Washington, D.C., Metro Area
The Inside Sales Representative is assigned to a specific set of agencies or geographic area with an Outside Sales Representative. The Inside Sales Representatives primary role is to maximize sales in the assigned market territory through leveraging the partner sales community and the Outside Sales Representative. The primary focus is aimed at sales opportunities and accounts and is achieved by collaborating with partners to identify, develop, accelerate, up-sell and close transactions. It is expected that this role will increase deal win rates as well as accelerate time to close on key opportunities. Strategic Account Manager, Federal Consultant – Army – Washington, D.C., Metro Area
As a VMware Consultant, you will provide customers technical leadership in the design, installation, configuration, and implementation of VMware products and services. You will help to document best practices in developing and deploying VMware solutions, and feed them into our knowledge base of best practices got customers and partners. Services include (but not limited to) Operational Readiness, Business Continuance, Disaster Recovery, and Storage, and IT services Delivery.

Strategic Solutions Specialist-Federal – Washington, D.C.
The Strategic Solutions Specialist-Federal is responsible for a coordinated sales approach with VMware’s internal and external sales team. This extended team is driven to a common goal within a set number of named accounts. The mission of this group is to broaden the reach of all named accounts to ensure the VMware foothold across the entire segment by driving the enterprise management suite of tools (vCenter) into existing and new accounts. Our solution set is viewed as a ‘platform’ within an account and changes the role that IT plays within that account from being considered a cost burden to a strategic deployment. vCenter will allow vSphere adopters to accelerate their virtualization journey and drive additional cost, risk, and complexity out of the process.

I don’t think the email has outdated yet. However, at VMware it seems you try very hard to hide your email address. I went to http://www.vmware.com/industry/government/contacts.html and other pages trying to find a federal sale contact for our recent project, however, it only point me to a web form. I don’t know if it is our firewall, our local PC policy or your app, I could not do the final “submit”. Calling to your phone only goes to voice mail.
As for sales, I think it is important to make it easy for customer to find you.

I am sorry to hear about the inconvenience that you are experiencing. The Federal Sales contact page does have a Submit button and the phone number you dialed should never go to voicemail. Our Sr. Manager of Federal Sales is looking into the technical issues that you experienced. We do not give out our employee’s direct email addresses and have the form to submit in order to prevent spam emails.
